Her where I’m going to introduce myself, and it will include some specific details about my childhood, teenage years, my trips, my interests, and things that have influenced me and my future.

Starting with my childhood, well I’m Mohammad Khalfan Al-yaaqoubi, I was born in 1980 in Dubai’s “Maktoom hospital” since my mother family was living there. We used to live in Dubai before we moved to Abu-Dhabi because of my father job. My father worked in the sea police where they have to stay three days in the sea working to protect our country’s borders. On the other hand my mother was a school principal in a primary school. I have only one older brother named Faisal and four sisters younger than me. Before going to school I used to be quite a good boy and I joined the school when I was six years old. I was one of the bright boys in the very early years but with time I turned to be a very naughty boy and hyper active. My mum faced lots of difficulties because my dad used to go three days away so she had to ever thing by herself. As I grow up my problems increased and I used to fight with my classmates and our neighbors. At the same time I started gaining weight till I became over weight.

My teenage years were tough years on my parents, I started to do things that made them go out of their minds, I started smoking, coming home late, fighting as usual, stealing my parents cars at night and my level in school decreased, so I had to stop and continue my studies in the Petroleum Center for three years till I graduated. As a result I had to work for the petrol company because of the deal that I had signed it. I had to start working at a very early age where I was 17-18 years old. I worked in a very far place named “Bu-Hassa” where we worked for the whole day outside in the hard climate whether it’s too hot and dry or too cold. I had to work for five days over there and come back to Abu-Dhabi for 2 days.

Since I have worked and I had my own salary I have traveled to many places. I have traveled to Morocco, Lebanon, Syria, Jordan, Thailand, India, Iran, D-Jeboty, Yaman, Turkey, Egypt, Qatar, Bahrain, Kuwait, and Saudi Arabia. My favorite trip was to Morocco, where I traveled with my friends for three weeks, we stayed there with one of our friends. We visited lots of tourist places such as the Jemma el Fna which is a large central market where you can enjoy the food and there are henna artists calling you to come over and ‘just look’ but they will like you to actually do one. If you go to Marrakech and do not go to the Jemaa El Fna then I’m telling you, you have so missed out. The Koutoubia Mosque and the Hassan II Mosque are very historic buildings, The two mosques are beautiful, partly surrounded with its garden and just looked so peaceful. The Majorelle Garden which is a very pleasant gardens with some very impressive plants and architecture, it’s a great way to escape the city, it’s very peaceful inside and all the water and greenery makes you feel cooler & calmer. Agadir Kesbah the kasbah in the ancient ruined walls of the old city, the view from up there is breath taking, you can see the whole of the Agadir beach, and the curved coast.

Well I have lots of friends so in my free time I love to spend my time with them, going to the mall, swimming, going to the cinema, car racing, and spend the weekend in the desert. Also I have things to do by myself like watching T.V, chatting with my friend whether in phone or messenger. I love going to the cinema and my favorite film is “Wanted”. Well if I had the chance I would love to travel all around the world, so I can discover numbers of countries, cultures, customs and religions.

Since I worked in very early years of my life, I learnt to be more independent and more confidant, and the place I worked in was so far away than my home, also my supervisors were not local but “Indian”, and they were making our job harder so that experience gave me the desire to carry on with my education in order to get a better job, And now I’m studying in ADMC so I can get the higher diploma degree that would help me to had better job in Abu-Dhabi.

In the future I want to be a successful worker, who has a good job, who can help his family, and a person who is loyal to his country. And If I could change anything in the UAE I would decrease the working time.

There are number of expensive and valuable materials all over the world such as gold, diamond, gas, and coal. Those expensive materials are really hard to get, where people should search to get to know those places. In this essay I’m going to talk about diamond history including the famous locations to get it, and the diamond trade.

Firstly, diamond was first discovered since 4000 years ago in a small town named “Golconda”. Since that time lots of companies started working on that sector for their countries since it gain lots of money such as the De Beers Consolidated Mines Ltd in South Africa. Moreover, some companies were trying to control the diamond price all over the world, such as the De Beers Consolidated Mines Ltd which controls 2 out of 3 world's diamond trade, it was noticeable in the early 20th century where it turned to be globally so it kept the diamond price the same. A Further point is that some companies were working on the same thing such as one company in Antwerp which was associated by Jewish society that has around 80% of the world's diamonds go through that city.

Since India is the main producer of diamond it has the cheapest diamond because 90% of the world's diamond are cut and polished over there, also producers pay their labors b only 40 Cents for 1 gem. Although India is the first producer of the diamond but they don’t get any from their own country, however they bring in diamond from other countries such as Belgium and South Africa. In addition, Dubai has a very important company that produces diamond regarding to the Indian diamond. UAE is giving that company lots of support and ideas in order to improve the diamond trade. This business worth around £1 Billion nowadays.

In conclusion, Although India is known by wars and violent behaviors, however it produces diamond which represent the meaning of Love for years ago. Lots of famous people nowadays are buying diamond to keep their good appearance so their fans would defiantly imitate them as a result the trading of diamonds is getting much popular.

Lebanon

Lots of countries all over the world have different histories, in order to get to know any place you need to know the past of that place. Also we need to look at the present as well and notice the changes happened during the years. In this essay I will summarize some of the history and the present about Lebanon.

Starting with the history of Lebanon. Lebanon is located between four countries which Turkey, Syria, Jordan, and Palestine. Lots of arguments happened in the past between Muslims and Christians, where Christians had the most power of their country than Muslims had. Additionally, since 1975 the relationship between Christians and Muslims get worse because the Phalange attacked a bus full of Palestinians and killed them in the capital Beirut. Moreover, there was a deal between the Muslims and Christians in 1989 called the “the peace deal” which says that both of Muslims and Christians should have an equal balance of the country. Finally, Lebanon economy wasn’t really performing any better in many years which was the main reason for immigrating, where all most quarter of Lebanon populations left the country.

On the other hand, the present of Lebanon. Lebanon since that time started working hard on her social and economical situations. Since Lebanon is counted as oil industrial country, so Lebanon government used the country location beneficially, where Lebanon has a very good geographical location within the Middle East, as a result the country economy situation has developed dramatically. Furthermore, Lebanon worked on the tourism sector, since Lebanon has very interesting and historical places, which helped the economic to develop also.

Lebanon has developed the country socially and economically rapidly. But although the situation has improved but Lebanon is suffering nowadays lots of problems such as the violet spreading between citizens all over Lebanon.

Task 7 Problem solution of the global warming

Thursday, May 28, 2009

There are a lot of problems in the world like wars, diseases and economical disasters. The biggest crisis of them all is global warming. In the following, I am going to view some of the causes why the climate is changing and then I will point out some solutions as to what can be done to reduce this problem. Finally, I will provide my point of view on how to make a green world.
Let’s first look at some problems of global warming. One of the leading problem of global warming is regarding human daily activities. To clarify, people are consume a lot of energy in their life such as using many home appliances that are not useful for the environment. Another point to take into consideration is regarding greenhouse gases. To illustrate, some gases in the air play a big role that cause a rise in average temperature, In this vein mrs.Rosenthal has highlighted that “In 2006, 8.4 gigatons of carbon were put into the atmosphere from fossil fuels (Rosenthal 1).Last point to take note of is with respect to deforestation. For instance, elimination of trees and green areas is one of the problems that has led to the rise in temperature.
Having looked at some problems, let’s now turn our attention to some solutions. First solution to consider is green house gases emissions. For example, the government’s role is to raise awareness to reduce these gases by implementing rules for the factories to reduce their carbon output. Furthermore, industrial plants start using efficient filters on their output vents so that the carbon output is reduced to help stop global warming” (Guptha.A).Another point is to promote the use of public transportations .For example, use buses and trains to reduce using our cars to decrease the amount of carbons emitted by cars. Last point is in terms of consumption of energy. To clarify, people should look for renewable energy sources to reduce the need of their consumption.
In conclusion, in this essay I have summarized a number of main aspects that have caused global warming, Also I have pointed out some results and finally some possible solutions. However in my opinion I believe that people in the future should work as one hand in decreasing the amount of carbon released in the air in order to live a healthy life.
